Construction Industry
Various professionals who support and service the construction industry join the NWCA. Such professions may include architects, engineers, insurance brokers, loan officers, real estate agents, title agents, and the like. The Associate Members are welcome to participate in many of the same programs and services designed for our construction members:- NWCA Learning Center --- Courses average an hour in length and are both on line and regular mail correspondence. Topics range from alternative dispute resolution, to subcontractor selection, to customer service, to builder warranty and many others. All courses written from the perspective of the construction industry and can be easily understood. Associate Members completing courses may become qualified to distribute select endorsed programs or services.
- Payroll Administration --- The NWCA Workforce Management program minimizes the time burden, expense, and liabilities of basic human resources and payroll administration. Members appreciate the high level service and financial efficiency and have commented on how the cost is sometime less than half of other payroll administration providers.
- Membership Rewards Recruiting Program --- Membership Rewards is designed to offset the cost of dues by rewarding members who refer other contractors or industry professionals into the NWCA. Contact the Membership Division for current rules.
- Liability Insurance Program --- The NWCA endorses one of the most flexible and innovative construction liability program managers in the country. With "A" rated innovations such as a $25,000 minimum premium "mini wrap", options for EIFS, foreclosed development liability and a solid 12 month practice policy program, our members enjoy a program responsive to NWCA Learning Center course completion. All types of contractors are contemplated by the program manager. The NWCA is not an insurance organization of any sort and refers all insurance matters to properly license professionals. Insurance agents need not be Associate Members to access the endorsed program manager through a wholesaler, yet the program manager may reference specific NWCA Learning Center requirements for the agent that do eventually require associate membership.
- Homebuyer Warranty Programs --- The NWCA refers to "A" rated warranty providers with tremendous track records in making both happy builders and homeowners. Builder members buy this warranty to provide an effective customer service guarantee and eliminate open ended defect allegations. Qualified Associate Members can participate by introducing endorsed warranty providers to their builder communities.
- NWCA Finance Center --- Members can be referred to obtain financing for construction equipment, insurance premiums, and development projects.
- Prescription Savings Card --- As health care costs rise, members get relief with the prescription savings card for all their employees, families and even their pets. Tapping the power of managed care contracts, this non-insurance card will save 40-60% on prescriptions. Members and their employees can enroll at any time with no cost. Many times, the savings over a year's time more than off set the NWCA dues.
- Fleet Management and GPS Tracking --- Members using the NWCA endorsed Fleet Management system can be assured of input and response as to driver safety. The GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) program helps reduce fuel costs and allows live vehicle tracking to assure employee efficiency and quicker customer service response. Members receive significant discounts.
The NWCA will selectively "Co-Market" with value driven Associate Members who believe in the mission and vison of the organization. Such co-marketing will involve a coordinated effort with the NWCA Outreach Division to understand the problems of a target set of contractors and how best to solve them together.
Insurance agents who are Associate Members gain a complimentary six months membership to Agents of America. Agents of America (AOA) is a professional organization dedicate to member access to cutting edge knowledge and expertise. NWCA President Doug Deforest serves on the AOA expert panel.
Associate Members also commit to the Code of Conduct and are required to provide at least one contractor (member or non-member) reference prior to approval for membership. Associate membership annual dues are based on number of employees and are as follows:
